THE BLACK VEILS

Black Veils - The Dying Man (Le Moribond)

Goobye Emile I liked you a lot
Goobye Emile I liked you a lot you know
We sang songs about the same wines
We sang songs about the same girls
We sang songs about the same things

Goobye Emile I’m gonna die
And it’s hard to die in the spring you know
And I’ll go with flowers at peace with life
And since you’re good as wonder bread
I know You’ll take care of my wife…

R:
I want you to laugh, I want you to dance
I want you all to lose control
I want you to laugh, I want you to dance
When they put me in that hole

Goobye Priest I liked you a lot
Goobye Priest I liked you a lot you know
Though we were on the same road
Though we were on the same side
Still we were searching for the same goal

Goobye Priest I’m gonna die
And it’s hard to die in the spring you know
But I’ll go with flowers at peace with life
And since you were her confident
I know You’ll take care of my wife…
R:
Goodbye Antoine I didn’t like you
Goodbye Antoine I didn’t like you, you know
This dying now is killing me
And seeing you so much alive
And even harder than I wnew

Goodbye Antoine I’m gonna die
And it’s hard to die in the spring you know
But I’ll go with flowers at peace with life
And since you were the other man
I know You’ll take care of my wife…
R:
Goodbye my wife I really loved you
Goodbye my wife I really loved you, you know
But I’m taking the train to the big man
I take the train that’s before yours
But we all take the train we can

Goodbye my wife I’m gonna die
And it’s hard to die in the spring you know
But I’ll go with flowers in my eyes closed
And since that’s how they’ve often been
I know you’ll take care of my soul
