O grupo,"Prospect Theater Project”, cujo director é Jack Souza, tem os seguintes elementos para este projecto: Christopher Volkerts (tenor), Karen Lotko (alto) e Ashley Tacheira (soprano). Peter Stavrianoudakis, também membro do grupo, encenou o espectáculo que estreia a 18 de Novembro próximo e estará em cena até 11 de Dezembro.
Neste vídeo Marc Almond canta "Carousel" a versão inglesa de “La valse à mille temps” feita para este espectáculo.
A canção LA MORT foi traduzida para inglês por Shuman e Blau para o espectáculo “Jacques Brel is alive and well and living in Paris”. Depois disso foi cantada, além de Shuman, por Amanda McBroom, Scott Walker, Marc Almond e David Bowie, estes os mais representativos dos 42 intérpretes de LA MORT que se conhecem. Marc Almond (ex Soft Cell) gravou em 1989 um disco intitulado JACQUES com treze canções de Brel em inglês. Uma dessas canções é ALONE, no original SEUL. É notória a fraquíssima qualidade do texto de Eric Blau, que o escreveu para o musical “Jacques Brel is well and alive and living in Paris”. No blog LA CHANSON DE JACKY, de 30 de Junho, Rodolphe Guillo (seu autor) dá a seguinte informação sobre um espectáculo intitulado In Search of the Soul of Jacques Brel.
“É com pena que eu descobri que um espectáculo multilingue teve lugar em Poznan, na Polónia, como parte do Festival Malta, no final de Junho passado.
O espectáculo revisitava as grandes canções de Brel nas suas versões não francófonos. Para além do inevitável Marc Almond , grande “conhecedor” de Brel, no palco juntaram-se alguns grandes artistas tais como o belga Arno, a francesa Mouron, o alemão Dagmar Krause e o polaco Czeslaw Spiewa.
Todos estes cantores deram uma nova vida a Brel, na procura da sua alma, tal como indica o título deste espectáculo, numa mistura admirável de versões multilingues, no idioma nativo de cada artista.
