ALIVE AND WELL IN CANADA

No suplemento ARTS & LIFE de hoje do jornal canadiano INTERNATIONAL HERALD TRIBUNE vem uma listagem das melhores 11 peças de teatro daquele país que se exibiram em 2011. Esta listagem é feita pelas críticas de teatro daquele país ELISSA BARNARD e ANDREA NEMETZ.

Starring Cliff LeJeune, Ann Doyle, Troy Adams and Anna Hurshman with cellist Colin Matthews, percussionist Anthony Savidge and musical director Lisa St. Clair. Directed by Mary Lou Martin. The cast wrung the truth out of Brel’s moody songs about the nature of life with sophisticated staging, passionate vocals and St. Clair’s intense and vivid piano.”

No passado dia 13 falei AQUI, neste blog, da exibição do espectáculo “Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris” em Fall River, USA.

Fiquei a saber hoje que este mesmo musical está em cena também em Nova Scotia, Canadá, no Chester Playhouse integrado no 25º Festival de Verão de Teatro. A estreia foi a 19 de Julho.
Tem a direcção de Mary Lou Martin, arranjos e direcção musical de Lisa St. Clair e as interpretações de Cliff LeJeune, Troy Adams, Anna Hurshman e Ann Doyle.
